Synopsis
Hala runs to school and back through wet alleys, then teaches her mother to read at night. A short film about the smallest engine of change: a child who refuses to stop.
Behind the lens
Hala chose which mornings we could film. We ran with her — the steadicam operator lost four kilos. Her mother learned to read before we locked the cut.
